For more detailed calculations ref. e.g. to "Flow of Fluids through valves, fittings and valves" by Crane or use some suitable software for your hydraulic calculations. Pressure drop/Hydraulic calculations depend on several factors which are not covered by this equation, i.e. valves/fittings, elevations, restrictions related to erosion, vibrations, acceleration head losses etc.
